Asset Control
What are Assets?
'Assets' are administrator-managed items within CADRE that control access and application processes:
- Licences: Terms or conditions that applicants must accept when making an application.
- These can be text, links, or attached files associated with workflows, forms, or catalogue items.
- Workflows: Two types of processes that describe how applications are handled:
- Dynamic workflow: The default option where handlers can request reviews or decisions from other users and have full flexibility in managing applications.
- Decider workflow: A restricted version that only allows a decider to approve or reject applications.
- Forms: Customisable instances of form templates that applicants fill in when applying for catalogue items. Various field types are available when constructing form templates.
- Resources: Materials or data that require controlled access, such as sensitive scientific datasets.
- Catalogue Items: Resources that applicants can select from the catalogue and request access to.
- Each catalogue item consists of:
- A resource
- One or more licences
- A workflow
- One or more forms
- Each catalogue item consists of:
CADRE administrators can also maintain:
- Blocklists: Per-resource lists of users who may not be granted access to specific resources
- Canned Responses: Prewritten comments for populating responses when communicating with users or processing applications

Navigation and Management
Navigate to the Asset Control page using the sidebar by clicking 'Asset Control'. This centralised page contains all administrator Assets within CADRE, reducing the need to navigate between different sections.
The 'Asset Control' page displays all Assets pertaining to your proprietorship in separate tabs, with each Asset type ('Catalogue Item', 'Resource', 'Form', etc.) shown in a tabular format. To create new Assets, click the 'Create a New Asset' dropdown to see available options and select the desired Asset type.
